Did I mention before I suck with this blogging stuff ;)
I hope you all had a great Christmas and you're looking forward to 2010. We are leaving the single digits of the millennium behind ooooooooooooooh SCARY! What I want to remember most about 2009 is my grandmother she passed away in November and it has definitely left a hole in my heart and has shaken our family to the core. So this new year will be difficult starting out but with strength and love we will all pull through. One of my favorite parts about New Years is not having a resolution because seriously some of them never get resolved, so I have a bunch of goals I like to put forth, and one of them is to live life to the fullest. I can guarantee that I will be doing that.

I Suck at blogging
Maybe I need a reminder set up that I have a blog to attend to and maybe I just need to scrap this whole thing while I try to plan this wedding.
These last couple of weeks has been crazy. My grandmother is really ill and is in the hospital, my sisters and I just came back from San Francisco and I bought my wedding dress......... :)- talk about crazy. I will definitely be trying to blog more, but sometimes life gets in the way.

Woe is me............................
What a week so far ......... it started off shitty with a PATRIOTS loss and a RAIDERS win and turns into why can't I find a photographer for my wedding.
I've been able to piece together everything else vendor wise for my big day, but when it comes down to the most important element I've been waffling. I want a local photographer who can deal with my sassyfrassiness and seriously be on top of their game :) am I asking too much?
For the budget gals the quotes I've been given range from $2000 to about $9000. Now I honestly don't see myself paying anybody damn near $10,000 for pictures that on the real will probably be special to me and the family only. I'm definitely working at the lower to mid range and hoping that I get an amazing photog whose package comes with decent hours and an album.
I meet with one photog tomorrow I hope we connect because I need to end this part of the planning process.

RANT!
To the HATERS in the GOP party (not all, but some), Birthers, Tea Baggers, Gun toting Wingnuts and those wonderful Corporate lobbyists running around creating chaos for the Health care Reform plan:
Instead of telling me how I'm being duped into pushing for Obama's Health Care Plan why not give a better example of why this won't work? and please do not give me the bullshit of the deficit it will bring upon us. When your fellow GOP chumps Cheney and his sidekick Bush brought upon this deficit in the first place. Why not get your Party in order first, before you talk about fiscal responsibility to anyone. What freaking nerve.
Yes, I know the middle class and upper middle class (oh wait do we even exist anymore? because my ass is poor now, yes P.O.O.R the luxury of the before has been taken away due to my last Prez) we know we will bear the brunt of this reform and guess what some of us are still WILLING to pay. You can't get over that can you haters? I'm willing to pay to have a competitive health care plan set in place and not be robbed every year by the insurance companies.
This bullshit health care we have is not working for us and it needs to be fixed. These drug and insurance companies have put us in a hell of a mess and people like my grandmother has to see 8 different doctors before she is given a damn referral to see the actual specialist, PHUCK THAT! Again I ask, give me an answer to why the conservative plan will be better and not a scare tactic telling senior citizens that they will die from Obama's plan, Freaking idiots.
Do these people realize that by attacking with anger and negativity it spawns some ugly peeps coming out of their caves. Let me tell you there is an energy radiating from these groups that makes me wonder and worry about a lot people and that is the truth.

Why Not Just Elope?
It kills me that the average cost of a SoCal wedding is $20k...... WTF? I mean yes, I want a nice wedding, and yes I want to spend some money on my reception, but not a down payment worth of money that I could put down on a house in a semi- good neighborhood here in central coast.
We been engaged 4 months and I've already spent 2k in deposits and those were for the ceremony site and venue. We have come up with a 12k budget that I hope to stick with. But after browsing through countless websites and blogs where people are dropping benjamins like crazy for their one day in this craptastic economy I wonder to myself why not elope? It would be so much easier and most definitely cheaper.
Vendor Rates I've been Quoted:
Ceremony: $250- $4500
Reception Venue: $2500-$12,000
Rentals: $1275
Officiant: Free - $150- $500
Caterer $3000- $17,000
Cake: $275- $850
Photographer: Free- $8000
Florist: $1500- $4500
Wedding Planner: Various prices but as low as $350
Some of these vendors I definitely had to laugh at. Are you fracking serious about charging me $4000 for some freaking chicken? GTFOH! Yeah, If I could I would elope, but for those who can with those prices above being thrown out there..... Why not?
